On September 28, 2025, the “Trendy Future” China (Central) Youth Design Week was held in Zhengzhou, spotlighting innovative and culturally significant home brands. Among the 30 enterprises recognized as “Home Brands Loved by Young People in Central China” was Hehe Xiabu, a furniture brand rooted in the weaving tradition of xiabu—a centuries-old handmade ramie fabric listed as part of China’s Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH).
In addition to this honor, Hehe Xiabu was also named a “Core Design Brand,” underscoring its role in redefining traditional furniture through a modern lens. The company integrates heritage craft with contemporary design, creating eco-friendly products that combine soft furnishings with solid wood. Its offerings include detachable handcrafted mattresses, cotton-linen sofas, and movable Chinese ash wood cabinets. These pieces not only highlight sustainable materials and zero-formaldehyde production but also introduce smart functions such as adjustable comfort and health monitoring.

9月22日,国家中国药材产业技术体系艾叶单品种联合攻关小组组长、张仲景国医国药学院副院长黄显章向调研组介绍艾草现状。在实验室,黄显章教授拿出几十种艾草的植物标本,并向调研组一一介绍艾草的分布及不同地区的生长特性等方面进行了深度的讲解。特别是在艾草种质评价、品种选育、标准制定、产品创新、产教学等方面提出了许多宝贵的建议。

Nanyang, Henan — On September 22, Professor Huang Xianzhang, head of the National Chinese Medicinal Materials Industry Technology System’s Artemisia Leaf Joint Research Group and Vice Dean of the Zhang Zhongjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, introduced the current state of the mugwort industry to a visiting research team.
